While the cooking is being done in clay pots, visitors are encouraged to take a walk in the garden and absorb the surroundings. We are located in the picturesque countryside of Bass Woolamai on the Tourist route to Wonthaggi.

Gourmet retreat at Woolamai

A new sensation in the quiet hills of Bass Woolamai. The owners have tried to create the simplicity of village life of Sri Lanka. The fruit and vegetable are grown naturally in the premises. Visitors are invited to pick their own vegetables (when in season ). Most vegetables are cooked in clay pots to retain the natural goodness. We offer a choice of meat, chicken and fish dishes to compliment the freshly cooked vegetables and rice. We can cater to suit most palettes, not all of the curries are unbearably hot or spicy. We are happy to discuss your taste when you make a booking.

Because of customer demand and our dedication to continue to provide the highest level of services and quality food to the local community, we have extended our opening hours. We are open Tuesday to Sunday for Lunch and Dinner.
